in less than 24 hours and have started on a new box due to this fucking head cold. Half the time my nose is stuffed (usually 1 nostril) and I can't breathe, or its runny. Also have a cough and sore throat. My head feels like it's full of pressure.

On day 4 now I think. I rarely get sick but when I do it usually pretty bad.

My wife and I are both prone to sinus infections and when we get stuffed up like that we start taking over the counter meds to relieve the pressure by drying us up and promoting drainage.

been taking dayquil cold and flu pills. seems to help a bit but not as much as i'd like.

Get one of those over the counter steroid sprays, they should help but will take a few days to start working. Not much else will really do anything.

I mix my own. I sneeze, spray. Nose runs, I spray. Flood that sinus cavity.

Just be careful the Neti Pot water used is sterile, for instance distilled. Your eyes and nose are a pathway straight to the brain.

Sounds like me 3 weeks ago. Woke up one morning with one side(so it felt) of my throat sore. The next day I was emptying my nose every 10-15 minutes for the whole day. The next day it was my chest coughing up tons of crap and my nose still needing emptied, but far less often. For the next 8 days both my nose and chest were regularly needing to get rid of crap. I probably should have got some Cold medicine the first day, but I knew it wouldn't last forever, so whatever.

If you have healthy kidneys, try taking 2-3 advil (kidneys) + 2 tylenol (liver).

I've found that advil helps reduce inflamation in my sinuses and allows more to drain. Usually those things peak after a day and then take a good week to get out of my system.

Been dealing with myself this week. Worst thing about working in a school is the number of colds I end up dealing with each winter.
