Yesterday, I swapped out my g2 for an Abit g4 4200 and now I keep getting errors when i play any game. They usually happen after about 5 min of playing. In MOH AA, I get a windows error, one of the ones where u can choose to report to microsoft. And when I play Dungeon Siege, I get some other type of error. In both cases, i get sent back to windows and the comp acts as if nothing happened.

My sys specs:
Asus A7A266
256 2100 ddr ram
40gig quantum HDD
pioneer 16x dvd
Abit g4 4200 TI
SB Live value
Athlon 1400

I tried w/ the drivers that came w/ the card, and then I tried the 29.42 detonator, same problems.
Im running open case w/ several fans, so I dont think heat is the problem.
Nothing is overclocked
Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like it is time to reinstall DirectX... But it may not solve the problem...

Get rid of all your drivers, and then reinstall. There may a conflict.

I tried reinstalling the new DirectX, but no luck. I tried the detonator 12.41 drivers, still no luck. Im trying to upgrade my mobo's drivers, but I am having a hard time.

The manual tells me to "type "format a:/s" at the dos prompt to create a bootable system floppy disk." When I try that, I get "invalid parameter - /s"

Im using XP and dont know how to get around that

just go to your my computer screen, right click on your a: drive and choose format. choose the option to quick format, and make an msdos startup disk, then click start.
