I upgraded my PSU, and now I don't have enough 4 pins!

I just upgraded from an antec truepower 380w to an antec Truepower 550w, and as I said in the title, the beefier PSU has only 5 4pin molex connectors, where the 380w had 7.

I think that the 380w is probably "newer" in that it was purchased retail in december, I just got the 550w, and it was "new" in that it had never been opend, but I think that it was originally purchaced a while ago.

Since they are both the same brand/line, would it be kosher to switch the wireing harneses(sp?)?

I've neer done this before, so if it is possible, can someone tell me how to do it, or send me a link of some sort.

thanks...

I'm not sure if it's possible to switch the wiring harness, but unless you've done it before I don't think it would be a good thing to try... I'd say just buy a few Y splitters...

You can modularize it and make your own molex cables, that way you can make them with smaller guage (ie bigger) wire, so they can carry current easier.

I don't really want to use any splitters, as I was already using one, and the main draw of power in the system is a 6800 Ultra which needs 2 individual conectors, that arent on the same line
