The only thing special about being 21 is that you can legally drink and gamble in establishments that serve alcohol. So doing anything else is pointless and won't be "special".

The skydiving sounds great, I think I'll do it. Through some Googling, I found a local place that looks good and the price seems consistent with what Cabages said. This is a big possibility!

Still, that'll put me under budget... need more ideas. I'll scope around for KillerCharlie's idea. Sounds like it could be cool 🙂

Well most places will give you drinks for free that day. I say bar crawl and then screw your g/f's brains out.

Skydiving is great. I want to go again, but can't find anybody in my area to go with.

I went last year with my stepdad. Was $200/ea for a tandem jump from ~14,000 ft. One of the most unique and best experiences of my life.

When the door opens and you first feel the cold air at 13k feet, doing 80 knots, and see nothing between you and the ground ~14 THOUSAND feet below it is such a unique feeling. Then climbing out on to the landing gear, and just kind of "falling" out of the plane and seeing it getting smaller realizing you have no control over your life at this point was awesome. When you finally leave the plane you realize you have absolutely no control of your life as you fall at ~80 mph (this varies, and depends on weight can be as slow as ~70 mph or as fast as ~120+mph) makes you forget about all the other shit in your life. Was ~7 minutes where I didn't think about anything other than living in that moment. It felt great. I would love to get certified, but at $2k+equipment (another $2k for used) it's a bit out of my price range right now.

My suggestion would be something like this:

Morning wake up and just enjoy yourself (make a damn good breakfast that you normally don't) for a few hours.
Go do something with some friends (movie, bowling, golf, etc) and then go skydiving.
After words go get a nice(ish) dinner.
End the night at the bar(s) getting free drinks for your 21st. It's the last birthday where you "get" the right to do something, from now on you are a "full adult". I am not huge on the getting drunk stuff, but did for my 21st and had a BLAST. Went with 5 friends and I had a great night. Was a ton of fun.

Well they shouldn't be, but many are. The guy we just let go here was 24 and still calling home to let his mom know if he was going to be 'late' or not and then had to explain where and why he was going.

When I turned 21 I went to a bar out in Virginia Beach. Got a little drunk and an older gal picked me up.

She dragged me to a cheap motel and boinked me until I was sore.

Good times.


I highly recommend you get some quality nookie on your birthday.

When there was a vote for SoCal or NorCal here a week ago, someone posted that. There was a link or something. I think it is true to get the girls off the street.
