I-Tunes MP4? Convert to MP3? or WAV?

Bought music off of I-Tunes thinking I could use other programs that I have to record and it will not let me. The programs that I want to use will not work with these files. I'm looking for a way to convert them into other formats or another solution, Thanks.
 
itunes mp4 is DRM. it will not be played on any other software, IIRC. In the past, there have been source codes and compiles that let you "recode on the fly".

The most brutish way is burn the files as an audio CD and rerip them and reencode them. It'll be the same quality loss as finding a way to recode it without burning to cd and reripping. (provided you use a great extraction method)
