I try to run something from "run" and it pops up and disappears!! (Win2k)

I tried running "ipconfig" from the "run" prompt thing in start but when i push "ok" the thing pops up for a millisecond then closes by itself, so fast i can't even read it. Can anyone help.
It also happened with the "uptime" program i dled and tried to run..pops up then disappears....

run
type cmd
then in the dos prompt type ipconfig or uptime

Oh so it's basically running it in dos? Not like in win98 where it brings up i screen eh...o well

Yah, ipconfig is different from winipcfg in win9x. Ipconfig is a command prompt based program.
