check em' out here: Link to only picture on creative site

After checking out some of the new speaker line that creative has unleashed to go along with its audigy2 I noticed this new speaker setup which is not released yet... Upon first look they seem like a garden variety 2.1 setup, but upon closer inspection they seem to have no wires for the satellites! Wow! is it time for speakers to go wireless? If there isn't a trade off for sound quality then these wireless can be a godsend for all of us with 5.1 configs (let alone the Digital coax and fiber optics; shez) that have tons of wiring that go back and forth behind our desks. Not to mention the spagetti of a time trying to detangle all the wires for cleanup. What do you guys think?

I seriously doubt they would be wireless, battery based speakers are anoying. Also you would lose a lot of sound quality. It is just probbably how they took the picture of they cut out the wires or something. Why did they make it a wired remote but wireless speakers? If your going to go wireless you have to go all the way.

Heheh I agree but the "remote" doesn't quite look like a remote... it looks to me to have some type of sensor in the rear... maybe its a transmitter for the speakers? plus I don't see any dials on the "remote"... curious, and curious I become.... :)

I think your jumping to conclusions saying that its wireless.

Look at how many pictures of computer systems are shown without all the wires in advertisments?

It's just so the picture looks clean.

Heh, I like the idea of wireless speakers. I mean, put a wall mounting system in the speaker package. No ugly dangling cords from the ceiling. What Creative needs to do is find some way for the speakers to use minimal power and a good quality sound. I know I wouldnt mind buying them.

Jumping to conclusions .... maybe .... but it makes one question, "What so I-triguing about these speakers?" Creative has numberous 2.1 configs on their site and the flat panel speakers are been there done that... maybe I'm abit optimistic, but with bluetooth and various other wireless standards being popularized right now you can't help but understand my position... if so we are going through some exciting times right now :)
