I tried Windows Mobile 2003...

I just went to fry's and tried the pda's with windows mobile 2003.
I went into all the programs and settings and options and looke for changes from 2002. basically it's almost no different.
the only thing that is significantly different from 2002 is the cool easy-to-use networking support that everybody knows about.
otherwise, none of the included programs and stuff have any of the changes I would have liked to see. that's good for me, because now I'm not tempted to spend about $75 trading my 1910 up for a 1940.

There's that, and a lot of the stuff that ran on 2k2 doesn't run on 2k3. Not worth it yet, IMHO.

on a slightly different topic though, I also tried out a pda with Palm OS 5. it's really well-organized and intuitive. and according to my friend who has a clie, most of the 3rd party software for palm is much more polished and well-designed than the crap that's available for pocketpc. if palm could just get a handwriting program as good as transcriber, I'd buy one *like that*.
