Topic says it all, when I installed it, it saw my wifi card its an intel 802....g card on my laptop.... thanks for any help


my build of linux is Ubuntu
my wifi adapter is intel 802
 
That's probably one of the most vague topics I've seen...

Does the system recognize the device? (aside from whatever pretty GUI you think recognized it)
Can you assign it an IP?
What driver did you use?

Sorry guys its been a long day....

I installed Ubuntu's install disk and it detects my modem, but not my wirless internet... 'm a total newb to linux, and I'm not quite sure the steps i ned to take

While I give you quite a bit of respect for trying linux while admitting that you don't know wtf you're doing, there's a forum for it. There's quite a few people here who know craploads about linux. Try hitting up hyperblaze, CorporateRecreation, or n0cmonkey or someone via PM or something. 🙂
