I had some RAM laying around that I thought would go with my Shuttle an35n Ultra / Athlon XP 2500+ Barton CPU.
Turns out it didn't work, so I reverted back tot he RAM that was in there. Upon POSTing, an error message keeps appears about how the system is now in safe mode and the CPU and or FSB needs to be set in BIOS.
I've been through BIOS 3 times and set everything to how I thought it was before, yet my system is still running at 1.1 GHz and I'm still getting that safe mode error. I even tried resetting my BIOS to the "Optimal Defaults" but it didn't work.
Currently, most of the settings are set to Auto, and the FSB is at 200 MHz.
What do I do to fix this?
Edit - setting the FSB to 166 MHz fixed things it appears...but I used to have it set to 200. How can I get it back safely?
