I tore something under my tongue

Suddenly I tasted something salty in my mouth and now I'm spitting blood. WTF. I look in inside my mouth with a mirror and the central bit of flesh that connects my tongue to the bottom of my mouth is partially torn loose. WTF! It makes me kinda nauseous looking at it.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? I'm kinda freaked out right now...

How bad is it bleeding? If it is just a little it'll be uncomfortable but it'll heal on its own. If it is more than just a little you might need it stitched up.

Bleeding's not so bad now. I guess it'll be alright, but the though of tearing something in there just by stretching my tongue the wrong way gives me the heebies.

Don't worry about it. My brother got his cut so he could stick his tongue out further.

wtf? why?

I had mine cut not because I couldn't stick it out but because it was keeping my tongue from forming certain letters. I couldn't say the R sound, it came out as a W. Got it clipped back a little and now I don't have any trouble.

lol, at first I thought that you meant the "double you" sound and now "W". I guess that makes sense as to why someone would cut that off.

This can happen if you spend too much time being a carpet shark. It heals--don't worry about it.

self frenectomy. not sure how you managed to do that with a dill pickle.

Whatever that connection of tissue is called, probably got stuck between his bottom two teeth while taking a bite, and he probably didn't even feel it rip when he closed his mouth and started chewing.

Don't worry it will heal. I have torn my several times. Eating ice cream....if you know what I mean. 😱

Yeah that's legit, it's this whole "yeah my buddy of mine did it for fun" that's pretty sick.
