I picked up a Core_i7_3770K and been researching motherboards and boy I got a headache.
asus has mem slot issues , gigabyte has usb issues asrock has flimsy and not full size atx isssues msi well its msi and the few i used years ago left a not so good impression. So looking for suggestions and experiences.

My wants are 2 pci-e for vid sli pref
4 dimm slots (32 meg of ram)
raid ( I know its std on the z77 )
min 1 reg old school pci slot Prefer 2 (from what ive seen reg full length pci slots are a rarity)
a good amount of usb ports
dont really care about audio (have sb card already)

And trying to keep it below 150 usd. I still need to pick of ram and a good cpu cooler for OC.
any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated I don't want to do this again for 4 years.

What do you mean by flimsy? The board shouldn't flex much at all if you bolted it properly to the case. The width of the board does not determine its durability. If you're willing to pay more, go for the ASRock Z77 Extreme6 which is the current replacement of the ASRock Z68 Extreme4 based on specs and price. The ASRock Z77 Extreme6 is an added luxury, ASRock Z77 Extreme4 works just fine.

All boards manufacturers have their fair share of problems. One bad apple shouldn't mean that every apple is bad. I've been using MSI since IB first came out and it has been trouble free till now.

ASRock - Z77 Extreme6/Extreme4 (has PCI slots)
MSI - Z77A-GD65
Asus - P8Z77-V LE
