Yeah, I'm just glad the guy was driving a small sedan. Otherwise I doubt I'd be posting right now. ;)

So you took in the rear while giving it, in the rear, to the guy in front of you.

I got in an accident with my '00 Nissan Maxima. Unfortunately, I had to pay $1,300 to repair the damages.

Ouch, nasty there.

Well, when you're taking it in for repairs, find a good private shop and say the three magic words: "I'll pay cash"

Yes, you do.

Re: The car.

It may actually be a total loss. Took it to a body shop today and after lifting up the mat on the floor of the trunk he didn't like what he saw. While the first pic above really doesn't show it, the second pic might give you an idea of how the internal frame is pretty fuct in the rear of the vehicle. The only thing that has pushed up the value enough to keep it in consideration for repair is that it's an SE model (leather seats, bose sound system) plus it has less than 100k miles (only 300 miles less, but after you pass the 100k mark you instantly lose ~$500 in NADA value).

Additionally, while the front bumper only showed signs of stress in the paint, the metal behind it is bent up. Won't know the extent of that damage until they open it up, though.

It's all going to come down to what the people from All State say. My step-dad, who was in the body shop business for a long time, believes that I will be able to keep it. He told me I might start looking in the paper for used cars, though.

So I guess THAT'S where puppies come from:Q

LAMO!!! Nice.

Glad to hear you're OK, Balt. I would imagine that there's a dog in those pics somewhere? All I see is a fuzzy black spot. I think you need to vaccuum your couch. :D

Yep, pretty much, my friend had been drinking, was following behind me to a party we were going to and I was following my friend in front of me, so I got sandwiched in between the two of them.

:p

I must be slow today. I get the feeling this is some kind of gay joke, but I live near SF and I still don't get it :(

Edit: Heh, I get it...cause everyone in SF is either gay or asian...it seems I AM slow today.
