that I would install WoW and start playing once my exams and papers are done.
For some odd reason, I can't get myself to install and play it 🙁

What should I do ?
 
Just pop it in and play! The game is great, and very addicting. When you pick a sever to play on, I suggest Frostmane (PVP). This is one the newest servers Blizzard has and it has had very little downtime. Also, that server has a bunch of new people working together to help each other out.
 
I played through the whole beta and got my guy up to about level 30... from my experience I would say this - DONT get started.. it is hihgly addictive and if you are married / care about your social life / have school work / care about your social life / have a girlfriend / care about your social life / go to the gym / care about your social life - dont start on it. It sucks your life away then when you are done you will just sit there and think - what a waste of my time... 6 months I just wasted.

Yeah, this drives me nuts. They have such a solid recurring revenue stream, they ought to just give you the client free when you buy 3 months of service. One of the reasons I have never played any of these games is the fact that I can't bring myself to pay for the client AND pay for the service.

I don't think the graphics are that old but why knock especially if you have never tried it. It beats having a game like Doom 3 where only about 30% of the computers out there could play the the game because of the outrageously complex graphics.

I rank playablity alot higher then eye candy.

I'm like you.
I used to be a gaming freak but once I stopped playing, I can't get myself to play any of the newer games even though I have all the free time in the world.

The only game I have started and finish in the last 4 yr has been Doom3.
I only finished it cause I loved the graphics and I spent lots of money on hardwares in anticipation for it.
