I haven't seen one of these in a while and this one made me laugh my @sses off.

Good Day

Is my pleasure for writing you this letter, hope you are fine?

I want to use this opportunity to introduce myself well to you,I am Johnson Omoha Titoe, the son of a late chief Namoha Titoe of Sierra Leone, I came to know you in the course of my search for a reliable and God fearing partner and I decide to contact you because I believe you are a reputable person and I felt you can help us over this confidential matter.I count on your integrity and honesty to be able to handle this business. I have one truck boxes that containing $23.5million U.S DOLLARS which is
already in USA . We are ready to give you 20% from the total money because that was the initial agreement we have with my later father partner, Mrs. Juliet Lerman, the consignment is right now in USA . my Late father business partner Mrs Juliet Lerman, who was to receive this consignment containing the money could not be located at the long run.

We have been trying to reach her for the past three days since the consignment arrive U.S.A,but there is no response and we don?t really know what happen to her so we need your help to receive this consignment on behalf of the family. Please be honest to us we are counting on you.

The director of the security company just inform us yesterday that if we can not provide our father business partner within this period of time, that the consignment we be return back to GHANA, so we need you to stand as my family trustee to receive the consignment in USA. If you are willing to help us receive this consignment, all you just have to do is to contact the shipping company here in Ghana so that they can give you instruction to their agent holding the consignment in USA . If not for God they would have return the consignment back to Africa but God has been helping us. Please reply my mail so that I can give you the contact of the shipping company to discuss with them on the release of this consignment to you,all you just have to do for us is to receive this consignment. And that reminds me the shipping company does not know the
content of the boxes, because it was deposited as a family treasure.

THANKS
Johnson Omoha Titoe
For the family

They are still working as are the phishing schemes targeting BoA and Citi. Old people don't see these things everyday and assume it's legit.

We have younger people falling for these kind of stuff at work when one of them gets through our spam filters. There was a BBB email stating they risked a derogatory comment against their business unless they replied.

Most of them didn't even own a business but were trying to get me to unblock the virus word doc attached to the email. One even continued to ask, replying to the email I sent out that it was a hoax. "I know this is a hoax, but I really should reply to it just in case" 😕

extinct? actually its quite a booming business as the few internet laws have little to no enforcement...

If you work in the IT business you know there are quite a bunch of people that will fall for just about anything.

sad part is some of them tend to be the paranoid Ill-never-put-my-credit-info-on-the-internet people.

They use psychology to scare to think they will get in trouble or miss out on opportunity of a lifetime if they dont do it.

I just recently started getting these in my Gmail account all of a sudden. I practically was spam-free, and just in the last couple of weeks, they started wearing my email out.

Craigslist automobile classifieds are flooded with Nigerian scammers everyday. You can easily point out the scams because they offer to sell cars way below market value. And they provide weird email addresses @ gmail.com. Also, they rip the car pictures off of ebay and use them in their ads. Some are even stupid enough to put pictures of a car with palm trees in the background for sale in Maryland classifieds.
