I thought SNL was supposed to be funny?

it was barely funny when will ferrell was on there. Its been craptastic for a LONG time.

It is serving its purpose though, it was conceived as an improv showcase, dozens of great actors and comedians went on to stardom after their performances on SNL

This show was filled with tons of mistakes. People kept walking in front of the camera, boom mics in the picture, forgotten lines, etc etc.

The cat skit was so riddle with problems that it was actually very halarious.

They need a Steve Caroll (sp?) show. They would have to try to make that not funny.

And most of the time they weren't funny either. I remember staying up late to watch it back in the 70s (when SNL was supposed to be in its heyday) because folks said how funny it was. It was usually boring then with stoned musicians sort of playing and comedians milling about doing not much. Sort of like being a voyuer in a rehab clinic waiting room.

It used to be funny when the cast was Adam Sandler, David Spade, Chris Farley, etc...
