I always liked the play "Throw me the damn ball!"

LOL seriously! Like anyone wants to waste the time opening the football, drawing a play with a pen....
ANd what stops the other team from stealing your play when they get the ball?

BTW, while I've never had blood drawn, I've been socked pretty hard by NERF balls. It doesn't matter if it's foam, somebody with a good strong arm can still knock the wind out of you pretty well.

Are they not foam anymore? Of course, even back when I was a little kid and they were all foam they could still hurt like hell under the right (or wrong depending upon how you look at it) conditions. Leave one out to get completely wet and dry a few times and it built up a hard exterior shell. Or try to play a game with one that's just sopping wet. That was always fun. Kids would be dislocating their shoulder trying to heave this 10 pound sopping wet sponge. :D Of course, back then kids and their parents wouldn't sue at the drop of a hat either.

I was so good, they made a rule they could only throw the ball to me twice every four downs! :p
