Lol, wtf. Really? What the f*ck was Trump smoking when he decided to run for POTUS? A quick Google search would had told Trump that being president is no joke. Just look at the before and after pics of previous presidents and you'll have your answer.

I'll be suprised if he last even 2 years. The wear from being POTUS is going to slowly grind him into the ground. Remember that this is a guy who gets 3 hours of sleep a night. He routinely eats fast food. He's over weight. He's over 70.

What was he thinking? He genuinely thinks he is a genius and awesome at everything he does. He was thinking he could run the country a few hours a week and still be better than any that came before him. I suppose I could take comfort in the fact that this motherfucker is probably working harder than he ever has in his life. It's just too bad he is a colossal fuckup.

This is a guy who basically had life handed to him on a silver platter, so it's at once hilarious and disturbing to see him complain about having to take on not just a real job, but one of the most demanding jobs on the planet.

Frankly, the presidency should lay waste to him. He's a spoiled 10-year-old in a 70-year-old's body, and that's having a disastrous effect on the country. Either learn to fulfill your duty or resign; don't act like a kid trying to avoid doing his homework.

Here in Canada our Trump wannabe Conservative candidate just dropped out weeks before the convention. Perhaps Trump will pull a Palin.

More evidence that Trump never expected to win, and because of that, he was totally unprepared for the tasks at hand when he did get the job..

And now it seems he wishes he never got the job in the first place.

I mean, who could blame him with all of the problems he's facing? Not only is he being suspected of colluding with the Russians to beat Hilly, he can't seem to get anybody to play by his rules like he did as the owner of a very large business, of which he still runs concurrent with his job as POTUS.

Did he ever think beforehand that he would be pressured into releasing his tax returns when he entered the race? Did he think it was a really nifty thing to do when he "allegedly" colluded with the Russians to get one over on Hilly and he wouldn't suffer the consequences thereof? Did he really think that all of the bullshit rhetoric he spouted and shouted while in campaign mode would come bouncing back in his face like a ricocheting wrecking ball in full swing? Does he really think he's pulling a fast one over the folks who didn't vote for him with his "everything is going great, we're doing a great job, a really terrific job, The Chinese love me, in fact everybody loves me!" story book fantasy declaratives?

Is he having his moment of doubt like the bride who, during her honeymoon, finds out that her hubby is a sadist/masochist of the nth degree? Did he really think that all he had to do was fire up that 'ol "Art of the Deal" shtick to have all things being demanded by him laid at his feet at a moment's notice? Did he really think all of those promises he made and reneged on to the working stiffs of America wasn't going to be taken seriously? SERIOUSLY?

Well, in answer to all of those queries, it looks like the answer that comes to his mind is that it shouldn't matter because he got what he was aiming for, the folks who voted for him got what they were aiming for, he had the biggest inaugural event EVAR, the vast majority of the nation voted for him in a landslide victory, his kids are instant experts at politicking, his cabinet is filled with the best people, he's got the House and Senate by the pussy, so................what's the problem again?

Thing is, he won't quit, that would be admitting weakness. Otherwise, I'll be impressed that his extensive cognitive dissonance overcame his enormous ego.

He sure seems to have a knack for keeping a certain segment in a state of near constant agitation.

There's an opportunity to make a real statement tomorrow.

The really sad thing ("sad, sad thing") is that the Democratic Party could not come up with a strategy and execution to beat Trump. I haven't really listened much to the debates or interviews with Hillary during the elections. (I'm not American, I wasn't gonna vote anyway). But I wonder how she (and the other Democrats) could not present an overwhelming amount of reasons to vote for her. Both rational and emotional reasons. The Democrats have really fucked this up. Just like they fucked up during the Gore/Bush elections in 2000.

IMO the Hillary campaign focused on how horrid Trump was and like Biden I believe she couldn't communicate effectively why she was worthy of office everyone else notwithstanding.

Yeh, blame Hillary for decades of brain scrambling right wing agitprop, Russian complicity & Trump's utter inadequacy at anything other than selling himself.

Remember the old joke about never arguing with an idiot because they'll drag you down to their level & beat you with experience? Try it with 60M idiots.

We have the leadership we deserve, sad to say. God help us all.

This should be like the 17th nail in his coffin, but it'll blow over. Or be washed away by whatever stupid shit he says/does today for this 18th.

He suppresses 'inconvenient' science, he's rolling back protections for civil freedoms, he desperately wants to ban all Muslim immigration (if only it weren't for this pesky "Constitution" thing), and he thinks spending tens of billions on a wall (which likely won't get built or will have major issues) will somehow fix job woes for legal residents. Combine that with his incompetency and hyper-fragile ego and yeah, any intelligent person has a good reason to be angry.

Also, please don't make fun of suicide again. An online friend of mine recently committed suicide and it's no laughing matter.

The fallacy is that one party can be entirely to blame and this is why Dems fail. The Republicans were going to vote for a Republican, even Trump. So that left the other two significant segments, Dems and Independents. The Dems? They were brainwashed by Trump and his magnificence? I suppose. But then there's the pesky people like me, the unaffiliated.

Here's the exit poll info. Scroll down to "Party ID"

http://www.cnn.com/election/results/exit-polls

Early on Independents went overwhelmingly for Trump because collectively we never trusted Hillary. In the end Trump won with them but not by the huge margin after the primaries.

Something from CNN

http://www.politico.com/story/2016/12/poll-democrats-independents-no-hillary-clinton-2020-232898

Neither Dems or Indies want to see anything but the backside of Hillary again by 2/3. On the other hand Bernie and Biden. The latter would have crushed everyone in this crap race but understandable family circumstances weighed against him running. BTW was Biden awed by Trump? Was he the weak minded Republican convert who saw the flaws like some of us and not blame the Master Race Republicans for it all, because he did. Joe Biden, Trump supporter. Pull the other one.

We aren't brainwashed it's that two awful candidates were put up and by your statements Trump is so brilliant that he must have hypnotized everyone but Hillary voters because otherwise they would have been sniffing her butt with excitement.

Well no. Bad candidate, bad campaign. You put up another Hillary and use the same tactics you'll get beat like a baby seal even after Trump provided the world doesn't end.

Stop doing the wrong things harder and adopting the Trump standard of "It's everyone else, not me".

Not sure this is much of a shock. He constantly said that all his major initiatives would be "so easy" to achieve during the campaign. He actually believed that himself because he was totally clueless about the law, governance, basic civics, and political reality.
