Are all you Colts fans ready to admit that they are a really good team, that will NEVER be a GREAT team? Did you see the look on Peyton's face during the second quarter, he alreadyhad "that look" - he knew it was over - a true champion never gets that look.

if their D improves, then they would hae a better team, but he had no D to get him the ball back.

If I were manning, I would try to get traded to a team that will actually win a superbowl

10 possesions. NE had a good defensive game. 2 of the posessions ended in T.O's completely not mannings fault. the last one has no real effect.

avg starting position was horrible on their own 23 yd. line average.

NE was missing two of thier key defensive starters. Ty law was a HUGE loss. They still SHUT DOWN Indy's offense. Say what you will, they were SHUT DOWN.

Where are they going to get the money for a good D if they have to pay Peyton all those bucks? Cut back on the Offence?

so you think you can tell a champion from the look on their face? Why aren't you getting paid $10 million to put together a team for some owner out there? You obviously know what it takes to be a champion.

And no, I'm not a colts or payton fan.

Peyton was right on target, but no one could hold on to the ball or get open. And they never really got the running game going.

Btw, why does he have to make up for his team's weaknesses in order to be a "champion"?

You bet your ass I can! :D

How many more years does he have to lose before you admit I'm right?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I don't think this issue really comes to offense or defense or Payton Manning at all. He didn't play badly. The difference in that game came down to coaching and the game plan. Dungee never was able to pull it off in Tampa, and I am not sure if he can do it in Indy. On the other hand, put Belichick anywhere and he is going to succeed. He always has an awesome gameplan....

The Indy offense is so finely tuned it has to have ideal conditions to perform at championship levels.
Only improved D or all indoor playoff stadiums can help the Colts.

Well, at least make to the Super Bowl to be another Marino.
And also, Marino never, never ever had a running game while he was playing.
The most amazing statistic is that Marino only had 1 1,000 yd rusher in his entire playing career and he didn't even play a full season that year.

JUst think for a minute, 17 years and he had 1 frickin 1,000 yd rusher playing with him and he average 3.6 ypc that year.

The Colts were beat by a better team. The Pats are a better all around team. They never allowed the Colts the get anything going. If the Colts had kept up the no huddle and the running game like in the second quarter, the game might have turned out differently. I was amazed at the end when the Pats were only rushing with 2-3 guys and the Colts still tried to throw the ball.

I liked that fake where Peyton stood up and walked along the line to call an audible, and then the center snapped it for a quick sneak, man that was pretty sweet. Too bad a penalty was called on the play.

Not if Rothlessrookie has another anxiety attack.

I think Manning would have been better in better weather. He'll be back. They need to stack their D in the off season.

I wouldn't count him out just yet. It took John Elway a while to win the big one. once he was surrounded with good talent and coaching, he won it all.

Peyton will get his ring one day (I think).

It's tough to beat the Pats at home in a that weather! Poor Manning.
