I am not a chess player but I do like to play once in awhile. So I will fire up Chess Titans in Vista and get my ass whipped playing level one.

In this video though I move my bishop up 2 spaces and then the damn computer moves its king and rook at the same time practically swapping places. I think to myself WTF so I undid the move and replayed it. Same thing the computer moves its king and rook at the same again.

So I fire up Windows Media Encoder and capture the desktop. Try the move again and shit the computer moves its king and rook at the same time. Watch the top right corner.
Is this a legal move or is my computer possessed by the chess demons

I am not a chess player but I play it when I am bored. I beat it on level one 90% of the time. The program sucks though. The higher you go up in levels, the longer it takes to make a move.

Guess chess is pretty simple to play once you know how each piece moves but there are some special rules that you should probably read up on. Especially irksome is the rules about draws, don't give someone a draw when you have the advantage because you didn't know the rules.

If you try castling yourself, keep in mind you can't do it to get out of check, and you can't cross a space that would put you in check, even momentarily.

Edit:
If you want to get nitpicky, in real life chess you have to move the king first in the castling maneuver. If you move the rook first, you lose the ability to castle(on that move)
