Discussion I think we might need smart bullets with all this smart tech..

Woman tries to kill a cop.. cop shoots her but 1 round misses and almost hits another woman in a parked car (going through wind shield but hitting her steering wheel)

Luckiest escape ever..

Think Cops might need smart tech for bullets that auto destruct (degrade) within 6 inches of missing target or something.

Could we ever get people behind such a thing or is it too anti 2A? What do you think???

I think we'll have phasers with stun before we have bullets that smart.

Well as you can see we can still have unwanted casualties without a certain smart programming..

Maybe we need to aspire to make smart auto programmed body cams working with bluetooth on gun with commands don't hit anything but supposed target at x feet, in y direction, and z feet off the ground!

Sure it sounds fantasy now but so did:

Hell we can't even have smart guns (guns that won't work except for the owner). The tech has been around for decades but the NRA went to holy war to prevent them from ever going to market. Any manufacturer that made them, and store that sold them, were guaranteed boycotts and bans. Meanwhile ghost guns are a huge problem and getting bigger every day.

Uh... how does the bullet know that it's missed the target?
the bullet automatically neutralizes all harmful effects six inches after leaving the police officers firearm.

. . . .

I think we need to move toward this style bullets:
in many ways, they stop suspects much faster then hot lead.

There will always be a need for lethal force, but less lethal weapons should be the first choice.

Need the personalized heat seeking bullet from the 80’s movie Runaway.

Don't mean to derail this thread, just wanted to let folks know that posting this on my feed alienated me from quite a few non-trekkie friends of mine. They thought I was sharing some sort of goofy alien language lesson with them when it was plain language to me.

I alienated a lot of friends of mine who said me liking this piano player was sacrilege as that's not Metal anymore..

Their bulkheads exploded from the woman crossing the neutral zone!

gonna age myself here but in 95 or 96 discovery had a special which showed off a smart gun that recognised the imprint of an officer's hand and only allowed it to work if it detected a match and wouldn't shoot a bystander because it would laser designate the perp. dunno if it was never introduced because it was bullshit but it sounded cool at the time or the mini car in a trunk container. getting through heathrow or dublin would be a breeze in that sucker.

Didn't expect to run across an Elle video in P&N of all places, they're great 🙂

There are "trve metal" stans past the age of 30?

I was born after Hendrix died.. but his "All along the watch tower" guitar track is still the best guitar song I've ever heard.

As such I'm sure there will be true metal fans that're way younger than I and you are.

Music has no age limit.

I think you misunderstand me, I mean people that listen to only metal, and gatekeep what is and isn't trve metal, and what metal fans should be listening to.

True.

But maybe Classical is just what Metal was before Electricity (electric guitars, electric bass's and synthesizers).
