I'm upgrading, and while researching what I should try to peddle my old parts for, I looked for my outgoing video card - PowerColor Radeon HD 5570. The prices that I'm seeing can't possibly be right. All the 5570's (not just PowerColor) are listed anywhere from $145 to $296! Is this a rare chipset or something (joking, I'm sure it's not) but why would these prices be so high for this?

They are not rare at all. They prices are there to sucker in people who think they have to replace the part from their system with the exact same part.

Single slot half height versions command a premium. Full size versions are nearly worthless.
