I would say take it easy on the OP, since he's new. He might not be aware of the Software forum (which doesn't get nearly as many views as GH or OT), and for someone looking for only computer-related stuff, they might be scared away from the madness in OT pretty easily. 😉

Whether he's new or not shouldn't matter. It's not like the software forum is invisible to members until they have a certain post count. From post number ONE, they should know where to post what kinds of posts.

Actually, I recall Jason saying the Hot Deals forum gets the most traffic by far, more even than OT 😀 Of course, that was before P&N, so who knows...

I'm guilty of having posted a virus alert in GH myself, back when the MyDoom epidemic broke out (I even had the nerve to request a sticky! :Q). Hopefully the statute of limitations has run out by now 😀
