its at least nice that one would keep up with newer technology and make things accessible to the upcoming generation of interested parties.
i dont know why cyclo would toss a cookie out there...unless he means it. but sarcasm is the official language of ATP&N.

Because this is just another thread bashing red states as anti-science and so on. It's a dead horse that has been beat to dust, never mind that it's patently false. I doubt Edwards knows what RSS is even, just as I sincerely doubt he put any of that site together himself. I do find it ironic, however, that the one touting his hero's tech credentials can't even properly link to the site. Must be that red state education, huh?

i dont think the politicians personally has anything to do with the site/content....but to be honest, i think you are being a little sensitive on this one.
i do agree (in the "red states dont care about science" thread, for example) that there are a lot of cheap shots taken. but i seriously dont think he was trying to trash the red states. i didnt even notice the comment until you pointed it out, meaning that i dont think the comment was the focus of the post.

See, the problem here is that I know you're joking but they're dead serious. I thought only women made such ignorant sweeping generalizations. :p

It does not help out your arguement that the "Red" is just as savvy as the "Blue"
So the fact that you found ONE "Red State" politician who doesn't know anything about computers means everyone is a technological idiot? Impeccable logic.

If you actually listened to the "broadcast", you would learn that he does know what RSS feeds and podcasts are. Yes, Edwards may not run the website, but he records the "show" from his home with a mic on his son's blanky. It doesn't seem like a studio, "get the guy in front of a microphone", makeup, $1million set, kinda thing here. Actually, his levels were very "off" during the 1st one. He stepped back from the mic during the second broadcast.

I just though it was cool that "any" politician could talk intelligently about newish technology. Red state or blue.

Thanks for the cookie!

Never said anything about red states? Wow. You could have at least edited your original post to PRETEND you weren't lying through your teeth.

A large majority of Red State folks and Politicians turn to Faith more than Science and Computers are the devil incarnate.

That isn't even a sentence. Care to rephrase your sweeping generalization?

Hmm..

Do you want me dig for more.

It took me what like 12 minutes to reply and give you an example.

Also you are the one who made the claim that the "R's" are ALWAYS up on the

lastest technology

Not I

Ok from your first post you said

It's a dead horse that has been beat to dust, never mind that it's patently false.

Ok I read that as meaning Both the left and right are equally dumb or smart when it comes to technology.

It was not hard to get an example of a person on the right being stupid when it comes to technology.

You can probably do the same for people on the left. But instead you pick a part my grammer and ask me what state I am from. That does not help you with trying to prove your point.

Edwards is trying to move into the now. Which is fantastic and you should give him credit for that instead of handing out cookies.

BTW

I am from MI.
