I think they killed the PALADIN in WoW with the next patch.

OK- NOw on the things they add with the new talent tree.I am using a 2h offensive paladin( well was but was no more playing for a few month, and just got curious a little)

My current template :http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/cla...50100000000000000000000005055551003151

1-I am able to use BoK
2-i have divine favor, and my 0 mana complete heal, usuable every 2 min
3-i have a 12 % healing spell increase, and my healings got 70 % chance of not being interrupt
4-Blessing of might do 20 % damage
5- im doing 5 % more damage with my 2h weapons
6-15 % more damage with seal of crusader
7-Seal of command when proc is doing 100% damage of my weapons damage.
8-5 % chance to parry
9-3 % more chance to hit
10-5 % chance to crit
11-Consegration is doing full damage 120 damage to start over 8 seconds, to the full 384
12- 15 % more damage with Vengance after i crit.

Now this is where i start whinning, and A LOT.With the new paladin tree, there is a few things i cannot do anymore....I will try to build the most offensive 2h pally with the new skill tree:

new new template when patch come in live:

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/cla...10501000000000000000000502340510203050

1-No more BoK!!!, but i got a permanent 10 % strenght increase
2-Can still use Divine Favor, but cost me 21 points to get it, rather than 11
3-Still have my 12 % healing spells increase,and my 70 %
4-Still have my 20% for BoM
5-I have gain 1 % more damage with my 2h weapons
6- still doing 15 % more damage with seal of crusader
7-SEAL OF COMMAND IS ONLY DOING 70 % DAMAGE OF MY WEAPON, that is a major lost.Im losing 30 % damage when SoC proc ( so rather than having 1k proc, i will have 700 proc like...)
8-i have lost 1 % chance to parry
9-I HAVE LOST 3 % OF MORE CHANCES TO HIT...
10-still have 5 % chance to crit
11-Consegration is doing 2 time less damage..thank god it cost 2time less mana too also..
12-still have my vengence with 15 % more damage after crit.

WAHT DID I GAIN?
1-Save 2 seconds on Judgement cooldown..But honestly, i think its pretty useless.I dont know where it will help me, really. Can vindication be more helpful? Maybe, will have to test(2 points in vindication will reduce onc e in a while target str and agi by 10 % for 10 seconds, so that can lower their DPS
2-Every enemies who is doing a critical SPELL hit against me, will suffer 30 % damage from the hit...Its nice to see that we will have a good advantage vs spell casters...( i heard the caster start whinning now... )

Conclusion:I have gain 10 % str,1 % more damage,2 seconds on judgement cooldown and will gain a good bonus vs caster...at the cost of losing 1 % chance to parry, lost Blessing of Kings( who was giving me a full 10% on all stats ),lost 30% OF MY PROC DAMAGE OF Seal of command, lost half damage with consecration

They have lowered the DPS of the 2h pally, to give him more fighting chance vs spell casters. But vs Melee, i expect myself to suffer more vs the Warriors/Rogue...

Now lets take a look at the protection tree changes:

OH WAIT:

1-LOOK !!!tHERE IS MY 3 % MORE CHANCE TO hit.....but that will cost me 8 points in the protection treee.....

2-They add a nice little new skill"Improved hammer of justice "that can resuce the cooldown of the skill from 60 seconds to 45 seconds. That is good...BUT.Cost you 18 points in protection talent to use, so that will be a benefit of being a 1handed pally, unless your doing a 2h pally with no healing skills.( no more divine favor ;) )

3-Rightous fury will generate mo threat.Good if your a tank..

4-increase the 1 h damage by 5 %

So what is my prediction?Lots of pally might drom 2handed and go 1h holy.

Discuss...

Reroll a warrior or druid, Blizzard's favorite classes. It's what I did, my main who I only play twice a week on guild raid nights is a rogue, so I know the feeling of being reamed patch after patch.

Man seriously, is Blizzard losing the trail somewhere?? WTF they were thinking by "tweaking" the pally like this? Not only they remove us our first attack who was with seal of the crusader, but now they remove us 30 % of our proc dps with seal of command? Whats next? We wont be able to use 2 h slashing?

They increased the proc rate on SoC so it does roughly the same damage. Their objective was to decrease the ramdomness of the damage.

Another useless post that has your name on it.

Paladin's are better at healing now... Just be happy your class has the longest longevity of them all :D

That's because rogues do it from behind.

Okay...cheap rip off I know. What you'll have to do is wait for them to "fix" paladins again. It's a very common practice in almost all MMO's to overnerf then overpower then overnerf over and over again. You'll either have to get used to it or quit. No matter what class you play it'll come under the chopping block eventually. Then you'll get a buff and think "hey, maybe they're giving my power back" then BAM another nerf hits your class. Just ride it out and enjoy what powers you still have. :D

right, it only took them almost a year to make druids into their favorite? they were blizzard's redheaded stepchild before then.

The problem is most of the whine threads the paladins had made was that they got owned by casters so now you have to face the result.

So now you have 4 lives instead of 3 while fighting casters. :p

Rogues have been getting nerfed every patch since release, druids were strong to begin with, and are gods now. In PvE that is, I don't care about PvP.

Gods of PvE? Rogues don't have 7500+ armor at the push of a button, nor are they able to heal... Rogues were almost well-balanced for PvE, that's about as close as the class came. Now warriors can outdamage them. The problem is PvP is a dps game. To have balance in it, which is patently impossible yet being doggedly attempted by Blizzard regardless, they've made the dps spread between the classes far smaller. Unfortunately dps is the defining characteristic of the rogue class in RPGs, and all it has in WoW.

Man, don't even complain...well, you can..but..yeah

I was hunter, quit after the "love" patch we got. Our DPS was supposed to get a significant boost (atleast in PvP), and several bugs flattened. Our DPS ended up going down for PvP and PvE, and no bugs were destroyed.
