I think the 2 power surges yesterday did something to my PC.

Yesterday, the power at my house went out twice. Once for like 2 seconds and then other time for like 10 seconds. I turned on my computer again after the 2 second one and then the 10 second one took place. I decided to leave it off for a while so I turned it back on at like 9 at night. I'm concerned though because my CPU temerature won't go down. Before this power outage or surge, my CPU was running at an idle of 29-30 C and about 43 at load. Now my CPU is running at 40 C at idle and to 51 at load. I know it sounds like noting but I'm concerned. I even turned the fan on in my room to high to cool it off a little and that didn't help. I just want to know if this had anything to do with the power surge...I've had the computer since November and it's pretty much been running at the temps indicated above. Any help is appreciated.

Specs are in sig.

And just because I'm curious, how can power outages effect a computer?

Yes, and I did. I looked at my PC and I found the problem. Two of my Case fans are blown out. Well not completely, they just spin really really slow. Case Fan or Wires going to the Case fan? I would think Case Fan.

Also, my vCore is .06V lower than usually. It's running at 1.35 - 1.36 instead of 1.40 - 1.41.

Any ideas?

Damaged PSU is my thought. I'm wary of it just being the fan motors - If the spike or whatever could travel through your psu and hose the fan motors, what else could've have gotten to and hosed?

EDIT: I'm thinking under-volting to fan motors thus turning slowly. And you're seeing undervolting on your vcore. Coincidence?

Good Luck with it,

Fern

I'm going to run 3dMark 05 right now see if that's any different.

If it is my PSU, first off I'm going to cry. Second off I'm going to call the damn electric company and complain and bitch at them util they pay me for a new one.
