I think that goose was sleeping.

Two days ago I saw a flock of ~70 geese near the river, eating grass like there's no tomorrow. Today there was a lone goose, in the river about 4m from the shore, standing on just one leg. It had the other leg curled against its body and its neck was angled backward like it was trying to hide its head into its back. It was not moving at all. Call me crazy but I think it was sleeping like this.

Suddenly wondering if maybe that wasn't a heron instead. I did not see a pointy beak though but the leg looked too long for a goose. Must have been a heron.
