I think something is wrong with my case

I am in the process of building a computer. It's the second computer I've ever built. The first one turned out all right, but I really don't too much know what I'm doing yet. I got it together and pushed the power button. When I did nothing started up and only 2 lights turned on. The CDRW light flickered, and a light on the motherboard turned on. Other than that, nothing happened. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Start with the bascis , ensure that your components are correctly inserted into their respected slots/sockets , especially your ram if it is DDR as they seem to take more effort .

Are you getting any beep codes or led display errors ? If so you might want to check your manual for a list of those errors to determine what the problem is.

Also listing your pc's components will help others here to help you .

Have you tried clearing the cmos to clear you bios of any settings ?

After quickly looking at your vid card I thought you might have difficulty running it unless you had a decent psu , but checking your case reveals a decent wattage psu , but not really sure if it is amd approved (for what it's worth).

Have you tried removing everything apart from your vid card , memory and cpu and go from there to see if your able to boot ?

I hadn't even gotten that far. I took apart the other computer I built, stole it's power supply, and stuck it in my new case. That did the trick. Now I just have to go about getting a new power supply. Thanks for your help.

Is that case with the PSU that gave you problems new and did it come with a PSU installed ?

If so I would be inclined to RMA it .
