I think someone maybe messing around or stealing cable in my area????

Ok this is the deal.

I have very basic cable. (family package). It's like 20 or 30 channels from comcast. I have some HD channels but I'm connected though a Coax cable. I use no box. I last night decided to re-program my tv (you know have it search though all channels again). I had all these new channels that I wern't aware of. I have Cinemax, HBO and a whole bunch of others. The quality is Analog however they do come though.

I first thought maybe comcast might of removed my filter or something. But one night I was watching something on HBO. All of a sudden when i got to the commercial the whole channel all of a sudden started to FAST FORWARD!!!!!!!!! Then the fast forwarding stopped at the end of that commercial break. I notice this to happen at only one channel at a time. It dosen't seem automated or done by a computer but a person somewhere.

The only theory I can think of is someone in my neighborhood is feeding their Direct TV or OnDemand signal into the cable grid and I'm picking it up!!!!!!! Does this make sense.

Ya, you can see there is no penetration if you get the right camera angle, trust me, I have seen many pornos, there is NO penetration in these movies.

I have a sharp aquos TV just like him. If I get this right. maybe my tv is cabpable of getting signals comcast can't protect maybeeee..

Yeah, this happens all the time with Comcast in certain areas. They don't always encrypt their Ondemand feeds, so your TV, if you do a QAM channel scan at the right times, will find those signals and allow you to watch them. You of course don't have any control over pausing, FF, etc.., but its there.

The TV model is irrelevant by the way, as long as it has a QAM tuner.

Improper stopper (device that keeps the rebroadcasted channel from going out to the street) on a channel broadcaster for a guy watching a channel off his digital tuner box (that is in his living room) when he is trying to broadcast it on another channel to all of the TVs in his house so he can watch it in his bedroom.

Well there is like 2 or 3 boxes between two rows of houses. I know those are the comcast boxes because anytime comcast does any work there it's open and you can see the cables. I know I connect to the box that's close to me. So I'm assuming it's that box. the house right behind me has a satelite and a redneck dude lives there. He's also close to the box. So I guess he's feeding that shit into the grid. I wish it was a little bit more clear because it's comming in analog quality over a HDTV...

All you need is a qam/atsc compatible tuner.
Lots of cable companies send out ppv and on demand this way.
