Wouldn't Staples forego the buy.com free shipping and add on what next-day shipping would be? That did that to me the last time I price matched.

Ingram Part numbers are special order...they cant do next day ...therefore the should not charge you. My shipping was free and i specifically clarified that and she agreed. If you dont get the correct answer call back. I called at 2 am last night and they told me it needed corp price verification. This morning called back. Done Deal . Staples has always been good to me. Then again I dont try to price match things that have rebates at other stores and such. I truley believe that staples is a customer oriented company. :) i recall one time they tried to do a deal and it expired cause my bank was havnig some issues with credit authorizations. They canceled the deal. I lost the 50.00 rebate. After talking with a CS Supervisor. They gave me the discount of 50..00 instantly off of a 120 item. plus coupon. I ended up paying 35 for a linksys Wireless PCMCIA 80211.b Card. Again, I have nothing but good things to say about staples. Another incident was that online was out of stock on wireless 0 tilt kb, mouse. Store had it. Called staples.com. they called manager locally and informed them of their NIS situation. Manager stayed till 9 10 for me to get there purchase kb and use coupon. I told him i didnt have print out from email. He just simply asked for the number. I do believe this deal could vary but for most it will work as it is legit. Who better to PM with than Buy.com. Also Techdepot has this for very close to same price...although buy.com has the free shipping promo. Enjoy

ahh, didn't staples change their pm policy so you can't apply coupons after pm? If that's the case, might as well buy it online to save tax.

I called Staples.com for the 8500DV this morning. The first csr directly told me they didn't have it in stock and wanted me to call back five days later. She didn't even go checking it, I guess.

About 5 mins later, I called again. Another csr answered this time. She was pretty nice, did the pricematch with me, asked me if I had any coupon that can bring the price down, and then offerred me the free shipping.

My final price comes as $296 (tax included).

Good thing you told me that because after I PMed, she charged me whooping $30 for shipping. I asked her why and told her that ingram part numbers are special and shipping is free. She checked and I got it!! :D
