My 360 is freezing constantly and scratching all my game discs.

I am always getting "disc read errors" as well, even when I play demos off the hard drive.

Am I about to join the RROD club or what?

I actually want mine to RROD so I can get a falcon replacement.

What has your experience been like with your 360? Did you notice anything before your console RROD'd?
 
Mine froze a few times before I got the RRoD. Why the hell would you still be using it if it's scratching your game discs? :Q
 
Yours seems to be putting up more of a fight than mine did. I had a few freezing issues, and then a couple of days later, WHAM - I knight thee: RROD'd. I think prior to that I had mebbe two instances of it not being able to read a game disc. Never had errors reading from the HDD.

Judging from what symptoms I had, looks like you're on your way to being knighted. 🙂
 
Mine never froze once before RRoDing on me. It did throw the red rings at me one time when I tried to shut it off. I pressed the power button, and the RRoD showed up. I pressed it again, and it shut off. I turned it back on, and it was fine.

A couple months later I was playing, and I went to shut it off again, and it RRoD'd again. That time it was for real. Had to send it in. It never once froze on me, though.
