And collect insurance money. About 10 min after she left to go to the gym I went upstairs and noticed a burning smell. Tracking it down I noticed she had plugged a large photography light in to charge and that's what was making the smell.

We had previously lost the charger to it and I suspect the one she just used wasn't the right one given the melting plastic and unnecessarily hot li-ion containing handle.

To make matters worse you guys couldn't claim dibs on my stuff because it would all be destroyed in the house fire. Also, if I dissappear from the forums maybe send this thread to the police.

@Exterous You sound like you have paranoia and you can get mental help for that. More likely that your wife simply brought the wrong charger.

How much would she get if you croaked?
