HIS Radeon HD6750. Screen keeps going black the giving me a no input message through my monitor. Have to reset the system to get it to come back and just tonight it didn't come to when I reset it. It did it in BF3 before and I thought it was driver issues and I did have another issue but I got that sorted out. Its been getting worse and worse and now it will just cut out at random even with just Chrome running. I ran tests on it with my overclocks and it passed when I initially did it. I turned the AMD overdrive off and it just keeps getting worse. Does this for sure sound like a vid card issue? I do not have another one to try out in there and could use a nice educated answer from someone who knows better then I do ha ha. Any other info needed please let me know. Thanks guys.

Yep sounds like it's cooked.

Try this :

(1)- Veeeery carefully try to disassemble the HSF attachment, thoroughly clean the surfaces, apply new thermal compound, and reassemble. Most midrange cards and below have average to terrible thermal transfer, and you're going to need every bit of help here.

(2)- On a different PC if neccesary before step 3, get the software you'll need to underclock/undervolt the card.

(3)- Boot up to safe mode, underclock/undervolt, reboot.

If you get it stable, you can try raising speeds very slowly to find out where the cutoff point is.

It's not unheard of that baking the card in the oven (with the Heatsink and Fan removed) can actually melt the solder back in place and restore dead or dodgy cards.

You can find instructions on how to do this online in various places, there was a good thread at the hardforum.com graphics card section, search there.

Great. Anything I should do different next time so the bigger investment I am about to make doesn't do the same? I ran the stress test when I set the overclock for the card and it passed just fine. My temps were always okay when gaming. Just a mid-grade vid card issue?

Do you have another card to test, or maybe onboard video to check? This would eliminate any other system issues if it works fine with another card.

Under warranty? I wouldn't remove the heatsink just yet.

Unfortunately no other card to check with. Yes still under factory warranty and I emailed them. Stupid me threw out the box and I could have returned it to newegg if I wouldn't have. I emailed HIS and I hope they make it right otherwise I am going with someone else. Thinking Asus or XFX

Have you tried cleaning out the cooler?
