I have an 8 month old pci-e x800xt, today while playing some cs souce, my comp crashes, and I look through my window and notice that my fan is not spinning. I reboot, and I'm still getting a display, the card is still being detected, but the fan is still not spinning. As soon as I confirm that the card itself is still functioning, I shut down, and pull out the card, which is ultra hot after 25 seconds of running on no fan. I took the heatsink off, and everything looked ok, but I couldnt quite get the fan apart to see if the motor was broken, the fan connection looked clean.

I wanna know
A) If I was a complete dumbass for basically destroying the fan on my heatsink because it wasn't the heatsink at all

B) If it was the fan, what I can buy to fix it w/o buying a new card
