My PC just shut off suddenly, the power led flashed a few times, now it won't turn on at all. This is sad. Just today I heard a sort of hissing sound coming from the psu once in a while, so I was worried something was going down.
I don't have any other systems here so I'm hoping it is only the power supply.
I've never experienced psu failure before so I'm wondering if this will be a quick replacement or if it could have produced other problems in my hardware.

edit: after some searching on here apparently the answer is yes. Well, it's finals week anyway so I shouldn't be spending time worrying about this and testing components. 🙁
