I bought this for my fianceé when it first came out last year in Feb. It's now Mar. so the warranty is gone. All it does is cycles through showing the apple logo then tells me to plug in the ipod to the charger. It just does that over and over and over. I have tried resetting it by pushing the select and menu button and it just shows the battery with an exclamation point. So that's when I replace the battery myself and it still does the same thing. Any clues or suggestions or am I SOL?

Are they programmed to die so soon after the warranty is out? Seems to happen a lot . . .

it seems that way...and to think I just bought a new 30GB ipod photo last month. If it breaks next year, I will vow never to buy an Apple product again. (It takes me a long time to learn a lesson )
