Currently, my land lady comes into my room at her will. She reorganizes my room without permission and etc. she is driving me nuts.

I think she is stealing stuff from my room. Why you ask?

Everytime I come back, I've been noticing cologne, certain clothing brands, spindles of cd-rs missing from my room.

Is there something I can do to catch her in the action?

I was thinking something along the lines of MOTION DETECTING WEB CAM software.

I've heard of these software where it won't record anything unless it senses motion? Do you guys know of anything like this.?

Basically, is there anything available that is free?

Bruce Bruce Bruce. What am I going to do with you? You're driving an '03 G35 Coupe and you rent a room from some wierdo landlady?

Get a webcam that has motion detection and have it upload pics to a website you can check from anywhere and catch her live in the act!

I think the old Creative Labs Webcam I had would do that but the software was buggy and would lockup after about an hour.

Why not just tell her if she enters the apartment again without permission that you'll take legal action?

That's what I'd do...it is illegal for her to do that.

I had a webcame set up on motion detection to catch my mom a couple years back. Most of them do have motion detection. Just hide it somewhere...she was quite miffed to find out I'd been filming her and she seemed a little distraught by it! Shewas basically just snooping around our room when we'd go out. I didn't approach her about it specifically but rather mentinoed how I'd caught the cats on film while we were out and then she was asking how I did that nd I told her.

I'm no attorney, but in every lease I've ever signed what she's doing would be considered illegal. Currently my landlord has to call us at least 24 hours before she comes in. Take a look at your lease and see what it says.

ATI AIW Card has a video capture util, which works on motion... at least the version before the current one does. I haven't actually used it to see how well it works.

Anyway, You should move out. Just the fact that your stuff is organized is reason enough to know she's been in there...

Along the same lines, is there anything that will take a video input (such as a standard tuner card), take a frame every second, then play it back at 30-60FPS? (time lapse)
