I think my friend my be addicted

He sits at his computer almost every day until around 1am and his computer is filled with this stuff. Is there anything we can do about it? Should we seriously confront him about his problem? Do you think he might be addicted? Thanks.
edit: Just so we're clear, he told us all of this, the only time I've found some on his computer was when I was looking for unreal tournament. I'm not spying on him so don't get this idea that I'm actually making an effort to find stuff on his computer.

You aren't exactly giving a time frame that he's actually looking at it, you're just saying "almost every day until around 1am". Also, how old is he? I've known people with upwards of 20 or 30 gigs, nothing I would worry about. Just need new stuff now and again I suppose.

I wouldn't confront them unless it's seriously affecting another part of their or someone else's life.
