It wouldn't turn on this morning, I get flashing led's and fans spinning but no go. I tried unplugging literally everything except the motherboard's power connectors and still nothing. After several tries at turning it on and off, now the led's only flash once before it gives up and turns back off. I guess the motherboard is fubar.

Maybe not. Pull the power plug on the psu. Set the bios jumper to clear. Pull the battery out, and pull all power from the board. Let it sit for about a half hour. Put everything back to normal an try entering the bios.

What kind of psu are you using?

If the mobo is mounted in a case or on a case backplane then I recommend unmounting it and checking to see if it will power up when placed on something non-conductive (like the cardboard box it came in).

Have had lots of fun with my striker board doing the subtle/slight short tango with my case.
