I think my dog has an UTI

She just pissed on my bed :/

I guess I will be beating a few video games tonight - then I will drag myself to the couch in my exhaustion (from all the hard work of course) and pass out. My back is going to hate me later tomorrow.

/pity thread

UPDATE: Intial testing shows no sign of anything abnormal in the urine so likely not an UTI. Doctor says not likely to be from the Depo shot if she had no previous reaction to the medication. Took blood and testing it to look at her kidneys. 🙁

You'd think she'd be wimpering and whining while she's peeing if she had a UTI? Perhaps... anyway sorry to hear about the piss on the bed!

She woke me up because she wouldnt stop licking herself. It was inceasent (sp) finally I was like "What are you doing" and there was a huge puddle. There is a slim possiblity its water - in other good news the roof started leaking today but at least im a renter 🙂 .

Everyone might have suffered from UTI at one time or the other, after travel for a long time or after reduced intake of water or after heavy running or after sex or after operative procedures which involves catheterisation of the bladder for passing urine or bathing for a long time in contaminated water, etc. What is the main cause behind it? It is the bacteria. It enters the urinary system when there is lack of hygienic condition or weak resistance.

Quit fvcking your dog.😛

I knew that was going to be posted but then I started to rethink how callow ATOT is when the first two posts didnt mention it 😛 It is because she has some serious allergies (we got her a depo shot thursday so her rash is gone now) she has a little staff infection too but its going away. Her immune system got owned trying to deal with everything at the same time im thinking.

Likely not a UTI but a side effect of the depo-medrol
actually a serious side effect....you should at least call the vet in the morning..

She has had Depo shots previously without a reaction except increased water intake. However it might ease your mind to know that the woman is a vet tech and will take her to see the doctors in the morning. If she cannot have depo shots were in for some serious work because her allergies are no joke.

😉 Thanks for the genuine concern and and quick advice for an exigent situation

There is absolutely no reason why you should write "an UTI."

It would either be:

1) "a UTI"
2) "a urinary tract infection"

There is no need for "an."

Arent you referring to the infection.. I think it would be an urinary tract infection. It refers to the infection after all.

WTF? Do you have a copy of your first grade report card? I'll need to see it to confirm you are not the idiot you seem to be.

Oh I see it is a because the ur is pronounced as yer and thus treated as a consonant. Youre still a neffer 😛.

I did poorly in first grade because of my dyslexia 🙁

Your grammar couldn't have been that hot either...

fyi an before a word starting in a vowel, a in front of a word starting in a consonant

Maybe you should spend more time with the dog and less with video games. Probably pissing on the bed beacuse she's angry at you. 😉

FYI U is a vowel however Jumpr is correct that it is a urinary and it is because of the SOUND the vowel makes (it makes a y sound) you can look it up.

Your grammar skills are obviously lacking and to boot youre a retard.

Ass... You cant punish a dog for something it may not even have control over. A lot of older pets lose control of their bladder at no fault of their own...
