When you look at him and pretent to meow (i.e. make the facial motions but not any noise), he meows at you...

Is this normal, or is he just retarded?

Why would that be retarded? He can read your facial expressions and knows you are meowing... If anything I would say that's pretty smart :)

sounds like having a kitten/cat would be fun. i have many around my house, but theyre all strays. so when you finally get them cornered and ready to pet, they hiss and bite at you. and when i ever did catch one it bit my hand open! no to stray cats, yes to tame ones.

He is a cat. While I love cats, they are kinda dumb. For an animal their size, I think they are pretty intelligent, but for the most part, they are dumb.

Being strays, some of them may have had very little association with humans, and therefor are feral.

Maybe she just wants some attention. My cat did that too.

Too bad my cat died back in 1992. She was 15 years old and cute as a button. She was an orange tabby and left orange fur everywhere when she was shedding. I miss her greatly.:(
