I think my cars messed up....

So the other day I was at work and my g/f and one of her moron friends decide to pull a prank on me. They put confetti all over my car and write on the windows with shoe polish or something. The shoe polish crap came off just fine, but I couldn't clean the car for a couple days (way to busy) and the confetti got stuck on the car. It must have melted on the car somehow, because of the heat. Now when I peel it off some of the pieces leave little black or yellow marks.

Is this something that ruined the paint, or something that I might be able to get off by waxing the car, or some other method? Ima be really pissed if its stuck on there (not at my girl though cause I love her lol). I just got this freaking car fixed too 🙁

Any ideas guys? I'll get some pics tomorrow and put em up.

Depending on what the confetti is made of, it could be a permanent 'bleaching' of the paint. I know many subsances WILL strip paint before your eyes. If it is a low strength material having been left for days could have done the trick. Have you tried scrubbing the affected areas to see if it come off?

You can pick up a cheapo buffer/polisher from your local Wally-World for under $15. Grab that and a can of buffing/polishing paste for under $5 and invest some time on a Saturday afternoon and you should be good as new.

Just be sure to wax it after the buffing compound has been used!

SweeeeT! Thanks tons skoorb, I thought I was going to have to spend 100's to fix this bad boy.... AGAIN! I just had it fixed not more than a month ago!

Doh, I meant Scoob!

Dont get no buffer machine, just go get a paint cleaner from your local auto body store and some cloth they sell there for waxing your car and rub that stuff on there for a good 2 minutes then let it dry and it'll come off. If that doesn't work .. get a bar of clay for the car.

Carefull, you might get rid of the confetti marks only to end up with massive swirl marks from the buffer.
