It's been about 20k miles since the last oil change. I keep saying I'll get around to doing it... I guess I'm lazy.
 
I let my truck go out to about 8K and it was almost sludge. Wouldn't want to let it go to 20K.
 
One day you'll be drivin down the road and you'll hear this grinding sound coming from the engine bay. Before you can shut it off you'll have seized the engine due to it overheating from expansion and increased friction. Awesome.
 
On my old Camaro, I would just refill the oil every time my oil light came on which was about every 1.5 months.
Never completely changed my oil. Never had a problem. Probably got lucky.

Oh yea it leaked and burned most of the oil.

Please, for the love of the oil....wait until 5000 miles. NO car today needs its oil changed at 3K
 
With synthetic 20k isn't THAT bad, if you're at least checking to make sure you have enough oil in there.....
