I've been going to allergy shot treatment for about 9 months now (as helped me not get monthly sinus infections at least). I'm on two pill prescription allergy pills, two prescription allergy nasal sprays and two asthma/allergy inhalers.

All of this and I'm still non-stop suffering from allergies. It's horrible. I don't know WTF happened but last year it all started at a level I've never experienced. I've had some symptoms in prior years but it wasn't all that bad and manageable with OTC stuff. Then all the sudden it was like a switch was flipped and I was getting sinus infections and having sever seasonal allergies.

Allergy season is really just now starting to kick into gear around here but holy hell if this is a sign of things to come I don't know WTF I'm going to do :(

Anyone else get hit hardcore with allergies later on in life? I'm 31 now FWIW.

Has anyone actually found relief or a way to deal with it all? I'd hate to imagine what I'd be like if I wasn't on all these allergy meds/treatments...

Try cutting dairy from your diet.
A lot of people I know swear they stopped getting allergies after eliminating dairy intake.

Personally, I prefer dairy products to no allergies.

A few years ago I had an allergy year from hell..like you I was on multiple medications w/ near no relief....worst summer of my life. Thankfully my allergies have really eased up as I've gotten older (28 now)- to the point that last summer I wasn't taking any medication at all. I didn't change diet/location or anything else.

But yeah, sorry no real advice...but I feel your pain...it's hell.

I also have really bad allergies (allergic to 34 things!). I have a prescription nasal spray and pill, am undergoing immunotherapy, and carry around epipens for the food allergies, but mine aren't as bad as yours I think :)

I have had 3 or 4 sinus infections in the last 2 years as well as bronchitis though. I don't know if they were related to my allergies or not.

I had no allergies for 30+ years of my life. Then all of sudden couple years ago I developed terrible allergies. I used to make fun of people with allergies and couldn't understand what they went through. I think karma got me. Last year was especially bad and horrible. None of the OTC stuff really worked and I suffered through it.

I read if you ate local honey, it helped with allergies. So I started buying local produced honey from a bee farm not too far from my house. I've been using it in place of sugar in my coffee each morning and so far this year, no allergies. I know it's still early in the season and soon we'll hit peak pollen season in GA. But it's given me hope I might be allergy free again. I'll know soon enough.

Well could be worse, maybe?
I only have allergies to basically all grass, trees, flowers, cats among other unlisted animals, mold and dust.
That is only what was tested though, it could be more.

I had the test done. I was allergic to all the trees, grass some plants, dogs, dust, roaches and a few other things. The problem is that as the doctor put it out of the 12 or so things I'm allergic to 11 of the 12 are at the same level as the control (histamine). Or in other words on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the worst, 11 of the 12 things I'm allergic to are at the level of 10 while 1 thing is a 8.

Yea me!

FWIW I have been doing the local honey thing for sometime as I figured it couldn't hurt and I almost never drink milk.

The honey thing hasn't fared well in clinical tests. Otoh, it can't hurt and honey might have other benefits.
