I have had 3 mobos and 1 power supply go bad for no reason. This is in the course of 2 years. When my machine was running I had to reset the router and release/renew the IP once a day because my cable connection would drop. I have had a new mobo, cpu and ram (going from amd xp to p4) sitting on the floor for over 2 months because I don't feel like building another machine.
I am using my wifes machine right now and she never once had to reset the router/IP and never so much as had a hiccup. Since I started using her machine we are back to resetting the router/IP daily and her browser started opening up in a 1 inch wide window.
I think I better look for a lead suit. :(

too bad. I seem to have the exact opposite effect.... People come to me when their systems aren't working correctly, and when I come to the system, magically the problem doesn't exist anymore. poof. :) its nice
