I think my ACS54's are broke...

The sound is heavily distorted on some parts of songs (like high pitched quitar) and there's a general low level distortion constantly. I've tried them on another computer (with a different soundcard) and it's the same. I guess I just cranked them up too loud one too many times. I don't have a reciept either. Damn.

I'm thinking of picking up the ATP3s as a replacement.

In his case he'd get the ATP5s. Or my speakers, the ADA890s 😀.

Try calling Altec Lansing and telling them about it.....they were going to fix my old ACS56s when I heard popping noises. Turned out to be the SB Live, but that didn't stop them from giving me an RMA # so they could send me a new set. I never went thru w/it though.

Wow, cool. I'll give them a call then. I don't have a reciept though, I lost it. 🙁

While searching for a set of ATP3s in the FS/FT forum, I came upon this thread. Would I be able to do what the person was trying to do in that thread...or does the reciept have to be mine? It'd be great if Altec Lancing could fix or replace my speakers.

Atp3's are nice, but if you want 2 extra satellites and a stronger sub, get the ATP5's... I've been using them for months and love 'em 🙂
