I think it's been almost 2 years since I bought the PS3

Did you skip the many great PS3 exclusives that came out in the past? Not to mention multiplatform titles....

Is GT5 the ONLY game in the world that you want to play?
 
So you spent $400 on a console just to play one game that was still years away at the time?

Lord knows there are tons of other racing games for it. Pick up Motorstorm and Dirt at least. Besides, you're really missing out on some great titles like God of War III, the Uncharted series, Ratchet & Clank, LittleBigPlanet, Infamous, Wipeout HD, Flower, and a ton of multi platform games. Plus its still one of the best Bluray players out there.
 
i bought a ps3 for gt5 when it first came out. Since then I've been using it play blu-rays, stream music and videos from pc, stream netflix, and listen to pandora on my sound system. The only games i played on it were gran turismo prologue and ps2 games.

I can't believe gt5 is actually here, I may have to buy another ps3 so everybody else can watch movies while i play

Sort of happened to me. I got a 360 simply because I wanted one. I ended up being extremely disappointed but held onto it anyway. Then Gears of War came out, I was psyched, then very, very disappointed and sold the whole system. I didn't need another 360 for three years because everything I wanted was multiplatform. To this day my 360 is used only for exclusives. I have two games for it (Halo 3 and Mass Effect) as opposed to ~twenty for my PS3.

How do you listen to pandora on PS3?

I got mine in December of 2008 and didnt get a game until FF XIII came out this year. Blu-Ray FTW.

That said, I have GT5 on pre-order. Should be fun. 🙂

Good idea, get rid of it just as BluRay is gaining ground (at a much faster pace then DVD did to VCR's).. but to each there own.

DEMONS SOULS is about the only game I have seen for a CONSOLE that I would buy one just to play it (but opinions on games rarely jive with others).... Halo is spose to be the "killer" must have game for the 360.. To bad there are so many better FPS on the PC.. but I never did get the whole HALO thing.. fun enough i guess. Just not the HOLY GRAIL its been built up to be.. again , just an opinion..

As for me, my PS3 gets more use becuase I prefer the old gamepad i been useing since the PS1 days.. I'm used to it, I like it... not to mention Demons Souls, Drakes Fortune, Vylk Chronicls, etc are all on it, some of the best games this generation.. (but EDF 2017 is the pretty damn awsome on the 360(and no thats not sarcasm, it rocks in co-op)) I do play my multiplatform stuff on the 360 .. but that is becuase used games are alwasy $10 cheaper on the 360 and a used 360 for "WHEN" it breaks donw (not if, but when) is about $100... while PS3's still are in the $250 range used.
 
interestingly i own the same amount of games for ther PS3 and 360 (6 each) and even funnier is that 1/2 the games i have for each system are from the same series

out of my 6 360 games 3 of them have Halo in the title
out of my 6 PS3 games 3 of them have God of War in the title

i only own 2 blu rays

No inFamous or Ratchet and Clank in recommended PS3 exclusive list makes Homer something something.

What's Dark Kingdom? Not that I need another game in my backlog, but I also love me some dungeon crawlers. Not that I've started Etrian Odyssey III yet.

LOL, pretty similar for me too, although I think I have 8 or nine games that I have bought for each system.
 
I'm pretty old school when it comes to gaming. Happy with the arcade Arkanoid. Hell I want one of them old flat top ones one day. GT5 was supposed to entertain me while I was recovering from a major surgery since I wanted to buy a car before having it but the game never surfaced. I bought a used BMW after recovery though : )

it makes a big difference when you talkin percentages, especially when you were trying to say that you have the same amount of series of games on each console, which is flat out wrong.
