Last Wednesday, I had a Partial Nail Plate Avulsion on both toes (for ingrown toenails). The next for days were cool. I missed work. My toes hurt a little bit, but it was nothing serious. I go back to work on Monday. The day went by fast. I accomplished many tasks.

...Then comes Tuesday. My toes start hurting a little more (still not bad, just a dull pain). Then I start feeling sick. My stomach hurt really bad as if I hadn't eaten all day (This started before I had the procedure, but got worse). When I did eat, it stopped hurting temporarily. Then it would hurt again. The back of my eyes starting hurting. I felt nauseated. I felt as if I need to blow chunks, but I didn't. I ended up leaving work early. I went to sleep and woke up 14 hours later.

When I woke up, I had a nice rash on my chest (also happened 2 weeks ago; haven't figured out why). It's all red from where I scratched it all night. My eyes still hurt. I feel like garbage. I can't move my eyes from the paper on my desk to the computer screen w/out feeling sick. I also have a sore throat.

My appointment to see the doc is Friday...and it's to see a ENT specialist for my chronic ear infections. I think I'm going to die before I make it to the doc.

If I had to guess, you're having a reaction to the antibiotics, but you should DEFINITELY get to the Doc ASAP.

are you taking any medications? the rash could be an allergic response.

how's the color of your urine? fever? is your throat all swollen? with the sore throat and rash, there is a bit of a concern for streptococcyl infection. At any rate, you need to go see your physician. Don't wait for the ENT. go see your family doc or internist.

At first I thought I was having a reaction to the Antibiotics. Then I realized that the rash first happened 5 days before I had the procedure. I've had a chronic ear infection and sore throat for a while now. That's why I'm going to the specialist. Even the stomach pains happened before the procedure.

One person at work thinks it could be allergies. I've never had a problem with pollen or anything like that, but It's possible.

...guess I'll call my gp and miss more work.

Or a very serious infection from you toe. there's some funky stuff on toes and getting into your bloodstream is bad, mmmmkay.

Yeah. The only thing that i'm experiencing that is "new" is nausea....and that's 5 days after I had it done.

I would go to the doc ASAP. Not just because it could be serious, but because you won't have to go throught the suffering as long.

go to the ER now.

I had something similar before, and the ER doc said I was lucky to get there.

My regular doc's appointment would have me waiting another 3-4 days.

Btw, you have some kind of infection.
No doubt about it.

I feel good. It may have been something I ate. I have a mild headache (but I always do) and my toes hurt. All that nausea and pain has gone away.
