I think I'm becoming a masochist

I've gotten really interested in Roguelike and permadeath games.

Namely Dungeons of Dredmor and Realm of the Mad God.

Any other suggestions in this genre worth checking out? I love the grab and go feel of these games. Get in fight a bit leave or die whatever.

a lot of arpg have a hardcore mode. You die you are done. Ive played some sacred 2 like this and if can be ruthless if you dont know what you are doing. lol. It feels real good until you sunk 10 hours into a character and you get pummeled in 3 seconds and are left like wait wha? Still its fun though

Assuming you're not offended by it's content, Binding of Isaac. It's essentially an action rougelike.

Check out Terraria. There's a hardcore mode with perma-death.

It's really hard though.

If you have a console, get Demon's Souls or Dark Souls.

diablo II has a ahrdcore mode
minecraft does now as well (really easy to die, watch it)

The best Roguelike I have seen or had the priviledge to play.

I've really been hooked on permadeath Dungeons of Dredmor as well. I don't think you need to be a masochist to like it : p
