I think I'm allergic to rain water

Way back I posted a thread about going into a new (shittier) pool at my friend's and then getting many bumps on my skin that lasted for an hour or so.

Now, I'm 3 hours away on campus, and every time my skin comes in contact with rain water, I get these bumps.

Is there something in the rain water that is causing this?

Acid.

OP needs to roll around in baking soda before it rains then.

There's a really good prank in there. Conceal baking soda on body. Spill vinegar on spot. Watch fizz and start screaming about acid burns. With audience, of course.

What else do you put on your skin or clothes? The rain water may be reacting with some chemical that is already there. Some clothes detergents (Tide, in particular) can cause skin irritation that can be triggered by sweating or dampness. Try a fragrance-free detergent and mild bath soap (Dove for sensitive skin, for example) for a few weeks and see if the problem remains.

If you're in a big city that rain water is probably highly polluted from all the crap in the air. You're probably allergic whatever the pollutants are, or just sensible to them.

We've known the OP for years. There ain't no way he's sensible.

There's ozone in the water droplets. You're allergic to ozone. Death to the ozone layer!
